Ballista Mark-2

A futuristic redesign of the FN Ballista, with a suite of attachments and a plasma-firing conversion. This was my first asset made using Plasticity, and also my first weapon with a modern style.
I spent a lot of time optimising UVs to ensure a visually consistent texel density across the weapon since each of the attachments uses separate texture sets. Additionally, I finally got a solid grasp on weighted normals, and how much they can do to improve bakes and LOD quality.

Textured in substance painter, low-poly and renders done with Blender.

'Armaments Nationaux' logo iterations. I eventually landed on this 'hammer' design, which implies an extended historical background.

Base weapon and plasma conversion concept. A lot of this changed as I was creating the high-poly.
