LP16 Flare Pistol

This is a remake of an existing asset of mine I made when I was still learning 3D modelling. The original was going to be used in an ongoing project of mine, however, its quality wasn't up to my increasing standards.

The LP16 is a (fictional) signal flare pistol that was fitted to most vehicles used by Germany during WW1 after 1916, and was capable of firing specialized ammunition that would burn brighter and move faster than other variants.

With this project, I wanted to apply specific focus to the actual construction of the weapon, with the weapon divided into multiple pieces akin to firearms in reality, something which was not true of the previous version of this asset. This also entailed applying wear more realistically, incorporating a lot of hand painting in conjunction with procedural texturing.
